A VOICE FOR THE CREATIVE SECTOR
There is a place, rich with artists and makers, nature, and beauty and we’re proud to call it home.
The creatives who live here deserve to be paid fairly for their work, to be recognised as significant contributors to the daily lives and well being of our communities, and together, to be respected as a driving force within Dumfries and Galloway’s cultural and economic life. If you relate to this, then you are on the right website!
At 2020 at the height of the COVID Pandemic, DG Unlimited commissioned Film Producer, Tabitha Mudaliar, and Filmmaker James Alcock to create a 6-minute film which would capture the extraordinary creative talent being demonstrated in Dumfries and Galloway.
UNLIMITED ADVOCACY
DG Unlimited is a founding partner of the Dumfries and Galloway Cultural Partnership. We are proud to work with Dumfries and Galloway’s strategic public partners, Dumfries and Galloway Council and South of Scotland Enterprise, and with key regional organisations like the Museums and Heritage Network, major events and festival in our region and a variety cultural and creative organisations to advocate for the vital role creative practitioners of all mediums play in our communities, economy and cultural life.

First and foremost we are a membership organisation with a focus on inclusivity, collaboration, development, and support. Our core principles are to be open, welcoming, inclusive and reactive to the needs of our members. DG Unlimited is an active and contributing member of ‘Scotland’s Creative Networks’ the national collective of Scotland wide creative networks and organisations, we met during the year to share updates, develop ideas, collaborate and to engage with our sister networks as we all champion the creative and cultural sector in Scotland.
As a membership-led organisation we are dedicated to supporting creative and cultural individuals and organisations across Dumfries and Galloway. We advocate for their needs, foster collaboration, and provide a variety of development opportunities, creative professional development, funding, advice, sign-posting, and individual support services.
UNLIMITED CREATIVITY
We are focused on creativity. Whatever your medium, be you maker, painter, writer, musician or performer, DG Unlimited aims to offer support, encouragement, and advice in the development and delivery of creative practice in this region.
As a member you can join our Talent Pool and hear about creative commissions and opportunities in this region and beyond, working with partners, agencies, and businesses.

UNLIMITED CONNECTIONS
Our growing network of members encourages opportunities for collaboration, access to funding, member showcases, special offers, peer learning, regular newsletters, the latest opportunities in Dumfries and Galloway and beyond, workshops, learning journeys, leadership training and social networking events.
All of these member services and activities contribute to our primary goals: to advocate for the creatives who live and work here, to make funding and opportunities for professional growth more accessible, and to highlight Dumfries and Galloway’s role as an established hub for Scotland’s artistic and creative talent.

UNLIMITED INSPIRATION
We’re fortunate to live in a part of Scotland with a rich artistic heritage, but as Dumfries and Galloway’s creative sector adapts to contemporary challenges, so must our support. In response, we’re championing our new improved range of member services, programmes and DG Unlimited’s annual programme of events, support activities, opportunities, and funds – all developed and delivered as a direct method of providing our creative members of all levels: young talent of school age, students and emerging creatives of any age, established practitioners, and creative arts organisations and collectives with the relevant, professionally produced industry standard information, dedicated support, tools and advice, peer learning, and partnership working, a network of creative friends and allies – all this an more is available to you as a member of DG Unlimited. We warmly invite you to join us. Membership is free.
We believe when we work together, instead of against each other, creatives wield a powerful force for positive change. Our policies engage directly with this on an organisational level, from our carefully developed policies like our EDI Plan and Fair work policy, to our ongoing efforts towards sustainability and carbon neutrality.
Home is worth celebrating. Whether you’re one of Dumfries and Galloway’s established artists, an artist collective, a theatre company, creative business, or a new creative finding your feet, we can provide friendship and support, and direct you to the resources you need to create, grow, and to connect with your peers.
