We are bringing you a day filled with engaging, entertaining, and interactive events celebrating and showcasing the best of arts, crafts, and performing arts in Dumfries and Galloway.
CONFERENCE 25 is a unique creative event for creative practitioners of all arts disciplines. It’s a chance to meet, build connections in a friendly and inclusive atmosphere, and to celebrate Dumfries & Galloway’s creativity.

Bea Last
Bea Last is a professional contemporary artist, Educator and Mentor. Exhibiting across the UK and abroad she was awarded the Visual Arts Association Artist of the Year 2024, and was a Finalist for the prestigious Aesthetica Art Prize 2023. Bea was a finalist in The Laguna Arte Prize in Venice, 2024, and was also awarded the DG Life Visual Artist of the Year, 2024. Bea previously taught on the GSA Widening Participation Portfolio Preparation Course and now facilitates VAS for young artists here in D&G.


Jonathan Jolly
Jonathan Jolly charmed us all this year as one of the contestants of ‘The Great Pottery Throw Down’ broadcast on Channel 4 and still available to stream. Jonathan lives and potters in Dumfries and Galloway, from his studio. We are delighted to not only have him as a valued member of DG Unlimited but as one our inspirational guests!
Iain Gardner
Iain Gardner cut his teeth at the Richard Williams Animation Studio on THE THIEF AND THE COBBLER. His recent half hour special A BEAR NAMED WOJTEK was shortlisted for the 97th Academy Awards® and was awarded Best Long Form Animation at the British Animation Awards. We are thrilled Iain is our inspirational for the conference!
