Dumfries Music Collective (DMC) has set the date for their brand new all-dayer festival, TRAX, on 11th of October 2025 and is proudly bringing world-class performances to a rural stage. This all-day micro festival will showcase a wide variety of new music, highlighting next generation artists that are causing a stir up and down the country. Having just announced its tightly packed bill of indie, jazz, electronica, hip-hop and pop, DMC will once again open the doors at the River of Life Centre (Dumfries Railway Station) to offer something for every taste.

For fans of Talking Heads, Confidence Man or even Charli XCX, you’ll love the varied and addictive sound from Avante Garde Pop and Indie Folk group Stealing Sheep. With 6 albums under their belt and performances all over the world, the band have built a reputation for vibrant, high-energy shows and once described by The Guardian as “a tripped-out state of harmony”. Heavily supported by BBC Radio 6, their latest album GLO explores a new chapter for the band, taking influences from PC Music, UK Garage, Rave Pop, and will drop in September.
Bursting through the Scottish electronic music scene, Pearling, brings heavenly waves with her ethereal-pop sound to TRAX. Last year, she was nominated for The SAY Award 2024, ‘Sound of Young Scotland’ award and has been performing at some of Scotland’s iconic venues since. Part of a crop of artists from the North of Ireland that are bending genre to break its confines, YINYANG is one of its finest exports, and will bring spitting hip-hop to TRAX.
In addition, local performer, and BBC Introducing favourite, Alx Romance will bring dreamy pop sounds to the stage along with electronic bedroom duo, Town Centre. Expect a passionate performance from Newcastle’s finest rock n’ rollers, TV Death, and Edinburgh’s rising young indie band, Parma Violence, who will be performing hits from their most recent releases. TAO, from Glasgow, will exhibit their energetic and unique sound, putting a contemporary spin on classic jazz. Bringing the event to a close, Dumfries-born Sally Swan will play her first hometown show bringing fast, swung pressure and upfront sounds to create that late-night club heat.
Expect all this just 5 minutes from Dumfries Town Centre, running from 3pm until late. You’ll be taken care of with crisp pints from Five Kingdoms Brewery, top drawer coffee and matcha from Kings Coffee, as well as wood fired pizza baked on site by Kayantics.
Tickets for TRAX can be purchased at www.wearedmc.co.uk – £16.96 (General) and £11.55 (Concession).
DMC would like to thank Five Kingdoms Brewery, The Holywood Trust, and DG Unlimited for making this possible.
