The above fund has been re-opened providing another valuable window for event organisares to apply for funding.
Funding is available for events that attract visitors to the region, generate economic benefits and support the aims of the Dumfries and Galloway Events Strategy 2023 to 2027.
Application deadline
Applications are open from 11 September 2026.
The deadline for applications is 5pm on Sunday 20 September 2026
You can apply for:
- a minimum grant of £5000
- a maximum grant of £15,000
Funding can cover up to 25% of your total project costs. You must show how you will fund the remaining costs. In-kind contributions cannot be used as match funding.
Who can apply
Your event may be eligible if it:
- attracts around 1000 or more unique visitors
- has a total event budget of more than £50,000
- actively markets to visitors from outside Dumfries and Galloway
- can demonstrate economic benefits and value for public investment
Applicants must be a constituted organisation, registered charity, community organisation, social enterprise or business.
Who cannot apply
You cannot apply if:
- your event budget is less than £50,000
- your event is primarily a fundraising activity
- your organisation is applying for religious events
- your project relies on in-kind contributions as match funding
If your event budget is less than £50,000, you may be eligible for the Regional Events Growth Fund instead.
Eligible costs
Funding can contribute towards costs such as:
- venue and facility hire
- equipment and production costs
- performer fees, travel and accommodation
- marketing and promotion
- health and safety measures
- event delivery costs
