The Regional Cultural Fund 2025/2026 is now closed.
The fund was offered by Dumfries and Galloway Council to make grants of up to £4000 available to enhance, improve and promote community-led creative and cultural programmes and facilities in Dumfries and Galloway.
The fund provided an ideal opportunity for arts, heritage and community organisations across the region to take forward work that could not otherwise be financed – to elevate their work and programmes.
The Fund supported arts, creative and heritage organisations to diversify their work and programmes. The Fund supported projects that clearly contributed to the resilience of museums, galleries and cultural venues across Dumfries and Galloway whilst working towards achieving the aims, objectives and priorities of the Cultural Strategy for Dumfries and Galloway.
The total fund was £44,000. The fund was fully funded by the UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. It was managed by Dumfries and Galloway Council with the support and assistance of DG Unlimited.
The DG Unlimited team were avilable to help applicants who had questions about the fund. The team provided general advice on eligibility and directed enquirers to useful sources of information to assist them with their application.
DG Unlimited does not advise enquirers on the strength of any particular application or project, nor does it provide any guidance on how an application might be scored by the panel. The fund was assessed by an indepeendent panel of representatives from the Arts and Heritage sector and chaired by Dumfries and Galloway Council.
