Heading to Wigtown Book Festival this year? A new Shuttle Stories initiative is making it easier, and a little more entertaining, to travel to the festival from across Dumfries & Galloway.
Wigtown Book Festival is running 13 special shuttle bus journeys to and from Wigtown, connecting Lockerbie, Dumfries, Castle Douglas, Newton Stewart and Stranraer with the festival.
And these aren’t just ordinary bus journeys. Each Shuttle Story will be hosted by a local author or storyteller, with hosts including Hugh McMillan, Kathleen Cronie, Alan McClure and Renita Boyle, bringing a little of the festival experience to your journey before you even arrive in Wigtown.
