At DG Unlimited, we are committed to ensuring the privacy of our members and other contacts. This Privacy Policy describes how we use your personal information. The policy may change occasionally so please check this statement from time to time.
What Information DG Unlimited Collects
We collect personal information from you through your communications with DG Unlimited. This includes: when you complete a membership form (hard copy or online); when you email a member of the team; when you attend an event; when you complete a survey or event evaluation; and when you apply for funding.
What DG Unlimited Does with Your Information
We use personal information that you give us to answer your enquiries and provide you with information you have requested. We also use this information to understand our members better so that we can plan activities and events that will be of interest.
We may use your personal information to keep you informed about DG Unlimited events and activities, including our Annual General Meeting, and may contact you from time to time about these. If you have given us permission to do so, we may use your information to send you information by email or, occasionally, post.
You have the right to withdraw consent to us holding your personal data at any time. Statutory retention periods will apply in certain circumstances, for example, accounting records.
Who We Share Information With
We may pass the information we collect to other organisations for administrative purposes, including organisations that provide funding you have applied for. We may use third parties to carry out certain activities, such as processing and sorting data, monitoring how visitors use the website, administering a survey and issuing our bulletins and other mass emails for us. These include MailChimp and Survey Monkey. Third parties will not be allowed to use your personal information for their own purposes.
Compliance with Law
We will release personal information where we are required by law or by the regulations and other rules (including auditing requirements) to which we are subject.
Your Rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the information held by us in our records. You also have the right to require us to correct any inaccuracies in your information.
Consent
DG Unlimited will only retain your information if you actively opt in to regular communications. If you sign up to attend an event but do not opt in, we will retain your information until the end of the event and only contact you if there are any changes that you need to be aware of.
By opting in and disclosing your personal information to us, you will be consenting to the collection, storage and processing of your personal information by DG Unlimited. We will only contact you by the preferred method(s) you select and in the manner set out in this Privacy Policy.
