When we think about resilience, we often think about plans, policies and technical information. But what if creativity could play an equally important role?
Join Ailsa Mackay and Freya Skinner from the National Centre for Resilience on Thursday 27 August (10:00–11:00) for an online webinar exploring the Building Resilient, Inclusive Communities through Shared Storytelling (BRICS) project.
Through art, poetry, photography, textiles and storytelling, BRICS invited people to explore what resilience means to them, creating new conversations around preparedness, connection and community.
During the session we’ll:
- Share the creative work produced by participants.
- Reflect on what we learned from the pilot.
- Explore how creative methods can strengthen community engagement and resilience.
- Introduce a practical framework that organisations and communities can adapt for their own work.
If you’re interested in community resilience, engagement, emergency planning, climate adaptation or creative participation, we’d love you to join us.
